This installation reflects the mother, or caregiver, as a source of safety, warmth, softness, and joy. Breast-like forms suspended within skin color tights, reminiscent of those found in our mother’s closet evoking a sense of familiarity, and carrying traces of the maternal presence through their softness and closeness to the body.
Added gentle drips of rose and vanilla-scented water, symbolizing comfort, and emotional care. Below, a bed of white fabric flowers representing purity and growth, and this continuous act of giving. Together, the elements recreate the quiet intimacy of care where comfort, trust, and tenderness naturally unfold.
Each single flower can be bought: their colors have changed during the live performance at Takeover Beirut, where drops of yellow, orange and pink coloring have been splashed on them.
Designed and handmade by Creative Space Beirut alumni: Jihan Azzam, Mostafa Al Sous, Patile Tachjian, Wadih Hadchity
